Why Johnny Doesn’t Flap: NT is OK! by Clay Morton and Gail Morton

A young boy with ASD talks about his friend, Johnny, and how he thinks the things that Johnny does are odd- like arriving not exactly at the agreed upon time, not playing games in the same order, and looking him directly in the eyes.

This is an interesting spin on ASD books, as it can help NT kids see the world through the lens of someone who views things very differently. This could be a great conversation starter for NT kids as well as teaching them empathy.
