Summary
This is a brief biography of Harriet Tubman.
Mom Thoughts
This biography from the well-known “Who Was” series does a great job of highlighting the struggle throughout Tubman’s life and how she fought for black and women’s rights until she died. There isn’t much reference to her faith, although they do talk about her nickname “Moses” since she led so many of her people to freedom. There is also a reference to when she gives a house to a church and how it does not go well. Although I am disappointed at the lack of focus on her faith, it is still a worthwhile read for 8-12-year-olds.
