Summary
Charley goes to the park with his mom and sees a girl, Emma, in a wheelchair without any hands and different-sized legs. Without really thinking, he blurts out, “Why does she look so weird, Mommy?” After apologizing, Charley begins to ask Emma questions and understands more about her. He learns that “different isn’t weird, sad, bad, or strange. Different is different and different is okay.”
