Summary

This devotional-style book has six sections: God Wants Us to Talk to Him, Prayer is More Than Asking for Things, God’s People Have Always Prayed, The Psalms Give Us Words to Pray, Jesus Teaches Us to Pray, and Let’s Pray. Within each section, there are several individual “devotions” that explain ideas in more detail. Most devotions have a small amount of text, followed by scripture, and ending with an example of prayer. The last section, “Let’s Pray” also sometimes asks questions to prompt your children to pray. Best for children ages 4-10.

Mom Thoughts

This book on prayer is such an excellent tool! You could read one short “devotion” before bed each night to help start prayer time in a different way. I also like that each “devotion” is very short and has an idea that’s easy to grasp. By the time you are done with this book, your child will have a very well rounded, biblical view of prayer. I highly recommend this for your family!
