Summary
A six-year-old girl, Emma, prepares for her new baby brother by thinking of all the things they can do together as he grows. After he is born, her dad tells her that the baby has Down Syndrome. After talking through all of the things they listed before, Emma concludes that her little brother will still be able to do all the things she was so excited to do with him.
Mom Thoughts
This is a slightly unique book, but I really love how the language used sounds very much as if it came from the mind of a child. I also love how it highlights all the things a child with DS can do, as opposed to what they cannot.
