Up and Adam by Debbie Zapata

There was a terrible storm the night before and a young boy named Adam decides to help his community. With his signature, “Hi! Hiii!” greeting, he helps his neighbors and brings a smile to their face.

This book does not explicitly say that Adam has Down Syndrome until the Author’s Note at the end of the book, but it becomes clearer as Adam continues to repeat his excited greeting. This is a lovely book to encourage any child to be a helpful neighbor.
