A retelling of the Christmas story focusing on how unexpected it was for God to become a baby. It also briefly includes references to Jesus’ death and resurrection.
Mom Thoughts
This account of the Christmas story is fairly thorough in its retelling. It uses repeated words (“Okay” and “Let’s go”) to show how people responded to the news of the arrival of the Savior, which appeals to younger children. While it does depict Mary and Joseph in a stable, it also depicts the Wise Men coming when Jesus is a toddler. The illustration style is a bit unique, and while it’s not my personal favorite, it will likely resonate with young children. Overall, this is a faithful retelling that is very Christ-centered.
