This 25-day Advent devotional works its way through scripture, starting in Genesis and ending in Revelation. Each day there is a brief “Key Scripture” that can be read out of your own Bible followed by the author’s thoughts. Every day there is a “Main Point,” “Christ Connection” (how does this scripture point us to Christ?), and a few discussion questions.

There is also an optional ornament activity book that shows you how to craft a daily ornament to put on a Jesse tree while using the devotional book.

Ages: Best for children 5+

This devotional does a lovely job of following the story of the entire Bible and showing God’s glory throughout. If you are crafty or would love to do a Jesse Tree with your children, this could be a great option for your family. While there is a “Christ Connection” sentence or two each day, I do wish there was a little bit more in the main section that brought us back to Christ.

This isn’t the most “Christmas-y” feeling devotional, but it is solid and Biblical and speaks truth to young hearts about sin and the gospel. It’s an excellent resource!
