Summary

A group of children retells the Christmas story in a play, but there are several elements added to the original such as a tent, a cell phone, and a lion. Each addition is meant to point to who Jesus is or why he came.

Mom Thoughts

This Christ-centered book has bright and engaging illustrations. The rhyming text is skillfully written, but your younger children may have a hard time following along. While the publisher’s target audience is younger, I think this is best suited for children six and above. It does such a wonderful job pointing to Jesus and why he came, it’s clear the author had noble intent, but your younger children may need a bit of explanation.
