The Story of Home by Caroline Saunders

This picture book traces the story of redemption through scripture while highlighting references of home. Some topics referenced are The Garden of Eden, the Exodus, the Tabernacle, Solomon’s Temple, and Jesus’ ministry, death, and resurrection.

This beautiful and intentionally illustrated picture book uses warm tones to skillfully create the atmosphere of home. The author works her way through scripture, showing us glimpses of our eternal home for which all believers long. She also points children to the only person who can get them there, “…by living the perfect life no other human could. He built it with the wood of His cross and the mail in His hands, dying the death only sinners deserve.”

This is a lovely, solid, thoughtfully constructed book. It would be wonderful for Easter or any time of the year!
