Summary

This picture book walks through the days of creation and the fall. After the fall, God promised that one day someone would come to crush the head of the serpent, deliver people from their sins, and restore humans’ relationship with God. Who would this man be? Would it be any of the amazing men from the Old Testament: Noah, Abraham, Moses, Joshua, Samson, Saul, David, or Eli? None of these men could save us. Maybe trusting in other things could: obeying the law or sacrifices. No. Only Jesus, God with us, could save His people from their sins. Have you trusted Him?

Mom Thoughts

This stunningly illustrated picture book lays out the promise God made back in the garden and how Christ perfectly fulfilled that promise. Ruiz’s modern, striking, and bold artistic style is gallery-worthy on every page. I love how clearly this shows that only Christ could be the Messiah, that only Christ could save us from our sin, that He alone is our Savior. The target age for this book is listed as 6-12, but I believe much younger children could grasp and benefit from this book. I highly recommend this for your family!
