Summary
An orphan boy notices someone is shaping the trees into animal-shaped topiaries in his town. It starts to change the way the townspeople interact with each other, bringing them out into the parks and streets to be around their neighbors. It also encourages them to improve their surroundings, paint their houses, and plant flowers. The young boy discovers the Night Gardener in the act and helps him make one of his wonderful creations.
Mom Thoughts
I love this book because the illustrations are beautiful and tell a story all their own. There are some hidden storylines in the art as well. The storyline is sweet, the characters diverse and the overall feeling of wonder is lovely.
