This lovely, sing-song recount of the Christmas story has a beautiful, clear message: no matter your background, Christ is the Savior you need. While being very Biblically accurate in its retelling, the author does purposefully have the Wise Men arrive on the night of Christ’s birth (which is very accurately portrayed in the bottom, animal-dwelling section of a home). The author does this to show the juxtaposition of the shepherd and Wise Man- how both need a Savior. While retelling the Christmas story is obviously part of the goal, the main heart behind this book is the Gospel. I highly recommend this for your Christmas reading!
