Summary

Written in rhyme, this brief picture book tells the story of the fall and Christ’s redemptive work as Savior, but through an allegory of the king (God), the dragon (Satan), and a knight (Jesus Christ).

Mom Thoughts

This storybook has colorful, vibrant illustrations with a style that greatly will appeal to children seven and under. While this could be classified as an allegory, it is a very obvious one in its portrayal of the main characters and their role in redemptive history. While the book itself is fairly simple, it is executed well both visually and in its text. This could be a wonderful gift for a little boy who loves knights and dragons or for any child to hear the story of redemption.
