Summary
Written in rhyme, this picture book walks through stories from scripture that involve death, Jesus, and then life: the widow whose son died, Jairus’s daughter, Lazarus, and Christ himself. After each story, there is a small refrain that often repeats the title phrase. The book ends looking forward to the eternal life that all believers will have in Christ.
Mom Thoughts
This carefully crafted, scripturally sound picture book tackles the tough subject of death through the only filter that gives true hope: the Gospel. The almost monochromatic (actually it would be dual chromatic) scheme of the illustrations matches the tone of the book. Although the style itself is not my personal favorite, they are beautifully drawn. The message of this book is clear, our hope lies in the one who alone conquered death and for those who believe, the best is yet to come. I highly recommend this book for your family!
