Over the River, The Story of Joshua (Kaleidoscope) by Chris Ammen

This is a retelling of the book of Joshua. There are pictures and maps throughout, much like a story bible. There are also “Kaleidoscope Corner” pages helping to explain or expand on certain topics.

This is another fantastic addition to the Kaleidoscope collection. This retelling of Joshua is written without leaving out the “tough stuff” that most story bibles usually leave out. It’s thorough but understandable.

There is one spot in a “Kaleidoscope Corner” where it is explained that the phrases taking about Joshua totally destroying and leaving no survivors is actually hyperbole.
