Summary
After church one Sunday, there is a miscommunication, and Meg is left at church without her parents. While her dad returns to get her, the people in her church make sure she’s doing okay and care for her needs. There is also a special note at the end explaining how this is based on a true story.
Mom Thoughts
The premise of this book is quite simple, a girl is left behind at church, but is well taken care of while waiting for her dad to return. This is actually what I love about this book. It’s a simple story, with a simple message that will resonate with young readers. It beautifully illustrates how the church should practically function like the Body of Christ in a way that children will remember. It’s not always about the huge acts of service, although those are wonderful too. It’s also about meeting the everyday needs of other believers in your life. With cheerful and darling illustrations, this book will be loved by the littles in your life!
