Summary

This lengthier picture book recounts “shadows” of Jesus in the Old Testament and explains how they point to Christ. There are scripture verses that correspond on each page as well. Story references include Adam, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, the Passover Lamb, and more.

Mom Thoughts

This picture book is small in size, but longer in length. I love the premise: there are so many “shadows” of Christ in the Old Testament and introducing young children to this concept is one for which I am on board. Because of the vast amount from which to choose, obviously not all could be included, but I was just slightly disappointed that a few obvious ones were missed (like Joseph innocently betrayed for silver coins).

Overall though, this is a lovely introduction for children to help them look for Christ throughout scripture, regardless of where they are!
