I Grew With You by Sarah Molitor

This rhyming picture book is written from the point of view of a mother to her child. It follows the mother from finding out she is pregnant, telling her family, craving lots of food, feeling the baby kick, seeing the ultrasound, watching her belly grow, preparing the nursery, to the baby coming. With each new experience, the mom acknowledges that as the baby was growing inside of her, she was growing along and the journey and growth has just begun!

This is such a sweetly written book that will tug at the heartstrings of any new or expecting Momma. I think children of many ages would enjoy reading this with their mom to hear the stories specific to their pregnancy and birth. This would be a perfect gift for a baby shower or a new baby gift. I also appreciate how the illustrator took care to include a diverse representation of moms and dads. I heard this book described as “the most pro-life book I’ve read that doesn’t use the words ‘pro-life,'” and I couldn’t agree more. A lovely book for your family!
