Summary

This is a retelling of the book of Acts following the order of scripture. There are illustrations intermixed in the text, like a story Bible.

Mom Thoughts

This is a new take on a story Bible. I don’t know that I’ve seen an approach like this before. You can buy full Bibles at a 2nd-3rd grade reading level or you can buy story bibles. This is a bit of a hybrid of both. It uses language children will understand while including illustrations throughout. The illustrations, while simple, do an excellent job of showing diversity among people.

You only get selected stories in a story Bible, but this attempts to give children a complete view of each book of the Bible, in this first edition, Acts. While they claim to be for older kids, you could absolutely read this aloud with your children of any age! An excellent resource for families!

Full disclosure: Before this was published, the author approached me about endorsing this book. I read the book in its entirety before giving my endorsement. I was not paid anything to give my endorsement, although they did send me a complimentary book. The opinions are completely my own and I am happy to pass this resource on to you!
