God Made Me for Heaven by Marty Machowski

Leo talks to his grandma about his grandpa who is now with Jesus in heaven. Grandma tells him that Grandpa Joe will have a brand-new body when Jesus returns to earth to make all things new. There is no sickness, sorrow, or sin in heaven, and best of all, Jesus is there. Jesus came to die in our place and then rose from the dead. He took our punishment so that we can be forgiven. No one is good enough to be saved, but Jesus will give everyone who trusts in him credit for his perfect life. Heaven is like a summer vacation that never ends, but better!

Yet again, Marty Machowski creates a gospel-centered book that will get kids excited for heaven and clearly shares the only way to get there: Jesus. I like how he clears up some common misconceptions kids may have like people not become angels and that heaven won’t be boring. He quotes and beautifully paraphrases scripture throughout while giving a very clear gospel presentation. This could be helpful for children who have recently lost a believing family member, but it is also a great book for every child to help them have a more biblical grasp on heaven. I highly recommend this book!
