Mom Thoughts

This is a very simplified biography of Gladys Aylward’s life aimed at children ages four to eight. The illustrations are realistic enough for it to not seem like a fairy tale, but soft enough to appeal to younger children. There are many difficult things that Gladys encountered and the author does an excellent job of balancing telling the hard truths of her life without being too graphic, keeping things age-appropriate. Biographies of Christian heroes are so important for our children and this is a great way to start young!
