Summary

This Bible reading plan for kids is divided into weeks called “Expeditions.” Each week there is a section to write “Prayer Points.” There is also a weekly “Snapshot Verse” with a spot to write it themselves. Monday through Saturday there are selected readings for your child, followed by a simple question to answer each day. On Sunday, there is a big-picture question about the readings from the week for them to apply the scripture to their lives. Also on Sunday, there is a space for your child to fill out what they learn by listening to their sermon. There are 52 weeks included.

Mom Thoughts

This is a very exciting tool to get your younger school-aged child in the habit of daily bible reading. The author did a good job of keeping the daily sections short enough that children will not lose interest but asks questions to make sure there is comprehension. Your child will also love being able to write in this book and make it their own.

This is a great first-time “through” the Bible for a new Bible reader. It moves chronologically through scripture touching on several (but obviously not all) books of the Bible. I would recommend this for children who are just beginning independent bible reading, probably in 1st-3rd grade or even younger to do with a parent. While it’s very well done, it’s basic and simple, which can be good or bad depending on what you are desiring. I highly recommend this for your family!
