Summary

This is a retelling of the story of Daniel in the lion’s den. On each page is a sound word (or onomatopoeia), like “roar.” Your child is encouraged to say these sound words on each page.

Mom Thoughts

This charming retelling of Daniel will have your children squealing with delight as they make their way through the sounds that Daniel must have encountered. As with the whole series, the text sticks to scripture while being easy for young children to grasp. They also don’t shy away from the resolution of the story, when the other men are thrown to the lions and are eaten! Jennifer Davison’s illustrations, as always, are enchanting and represent diversity well. I highly recommend this book for your family!
