Summary

Caspian’s brother, Jax, is planning his birthday party. It seems to Caspian that Jax’s party is a bigger deal than his was. When the day of the party comes, Caspian feels like everything is just a little bit bigger and better for Jax. He is feeling jealous. When he isn’t able to join everyone on a bouncy house, he pulls the plug on it and all the kids have to leave.

For a while, Caspian doesn’t want to talk to anyone and he doesn’t want to apologize. At church the next morning, Pastor John talks about how Paul learned to be content whatever situation he was in. Paul knew that God’s love is better than life. Caspian realizes he was only thinking about his own wants and not Jax’s. He decides to apologize and Jax forgives him.

Mom Thoughts

This is another winner in the “Good News for Little Hearts” series. What child hasn’t dealt with jealousy? I also appreciate that this story deals with sibling conflict. So often children have the hardest time living out the gospel with their own family. This beautifully illustrated storybook deals with jealousy in an understandable way the points our children to the love of God. I highly recommend this book for your family!
