Summary

Intended for toddlers, this book helps children to identify their emotions and learn how to calm down with slow breathing and taking a break. There are also tip for parents and caregivers in the back.

Mom Thoughts

This very brief book gives toddlers simple but effective ways to help calm their bodies and minds. My caveat with this book is that it reads, “Sometimes I start to scream and shout. I want to let my feelings out.” The adult in the book then comes to help them calm down. Because this is a secular book, sin is never mentioned, and although the adult doesn’t condone their actions, they also do not address that screaming and shouting are (often) sinful behaviors.
