Summary

An infographic helps you see informations “using a combination of fun facts and craze-mazing visuals.” This second edition is filled with dichotomies: big and small, heroes and villains, good and evil, rising empires and fallen kingdoms, and light and dark.

There are 20 sections in this picture book, each flooded with infographics and information. The subjects range from Egypt Moses vs Wilderness Moses, Feats of Gods and Failures of Men, Biblical Landmarks, Wonders of the Biblical World, Epic Battles of the Bible, Judges, Solomon, Kings of Israel, Angels vs Demons, Heaven and Hell, and more!

Mom Thoughts

This very unique picture book can be thought of as more of a reference book than anything else. You probably won’t sit down with your kids and read this from beginning to end. There’s just too much there.

This second in the series smartly uses opposites to make ideas pop even more for your children. Each section itself can be a lot of information at once, but this an amazing resource to have to either peruse and learn at leisure or to supplement your Bible reading with your kids.

I particularly like the pages that discuss the Trinity. It acknowledges this word isn’t in scripture, but that it’s been used for centuries as people try to describe the Godhead. It gives Biblical truth that there is one God in three persons: they are equal, one, and distinct. It also dispels common analogies for the Trinity: the shamrock, the sun, and water, and shows what heresies these fall into.

Do be aware that they call Satan “Lucifer.” There are also a few lines that talk about miracles that might sound like they are trying to explain these away, but I truly think the intention was to tie in science as support for scripture, not to reduce God in any way. I do wish they were worded differently though. Concerning the parting of the Red Sea, “Scientists found that wind blowing over 67 mph overnight could expose land under water.” Concerning crossing the Jordan, “There is evidence that when the Israelites crossed over the river, a landslide temporarily stopped the water. How cool that God could cause a landslide at exactly the right moment to allow the priests to cross the river!”

Overall though, I highly recommend this book for your home library!
