Samuel has had a bad day at school. When he gets home, his brother, Benji, is hiding in his box because he also had a bad day. Samuel wishes sometimes that he had a box to hide in when things get hard. After Samuel spills milk and cereal everywhere, Benji comes out of his box and rolls Samuel in his blanket to help him feel better.
This is a sweet story that will likely resonate with a child who has a sibling with autism. Not only is it a wonderful example of putting someone else first, but a helpful reminder that children with autism can show great love in different ways.
