Mom Thoughts
As an adult who had never heard this story, it was heartbreaking as well as amazing to see the courage of such a young girl. Do be aware that this book talks about protests and events held to get the media talking about the need for the ADA. These events were never violent, but I know some people are shying away from talking about political protests in any arena. This book, however, is a wonderful example of using the first amendment in a positive and productive way for which it was meant.
