Summary
This is a 25 day Advent Devotional, starting on December 1st. Each day starts with the “Explore” section which involves reading scripture and answering two questions afterward. The next section is “Explain” which is thoughts from the author. This is followed by “Engage” which is a choice of age-appropriate questions. Then, the “Enter In” section is a prayer to say aloud. Finally, there is an open space for a creative response to the devotion. Each day takes approximately 7-15 minutes a day.

Mom Thoughts
Not hiding my feelings, this is a fantastic resource. The author starts with scripture all the way back at the Garden of Eden and works her way to the birth of Christ, all along the way pointing out how all of it points to Christ and what that means for us. You spend about half of the devotions in the Old Testament and about half in the New Testament. She does a wonderful job of presenting the gospel over and over again in words to which your school-aged children will be able to relate and grasp. This workbook of a devotional is meant to be written in, colored in, and used well. I cannot recommend it highly enough!
