A Better Than Anything Christmas by Barbara Reaoch

This is a 25 day Advent Devotional, starting on December 1st. Each day starts with the “Explore” section which is reading scripture and answering two questions afterward. The next section is “Explain” which is thoughts from the author. This is followed by “Engage” which is a choice of age-appropriate questions. Then, the “Enter In” section is a prayer to say aloud. Finally, there is an open space for a creative response to the devotion. Each day takes approximately 7-15 minutes a day.

Ages: Best for children 4-12

This family devotional is constructed like a workbook. It is meant to be written in and well used. You could have children take turns writing the answers and doing the artistic response, or you could certainly get a book for each child as their own personal workbook. I think the length is a great amount, not too much, but enough that your kids and you will get something meaningful out of it each day. It could be used with preschool ages children through middle school. I highly recommend this for your family!
