This very simple picture book is a cute addition to your Christmas reading, especially if you have very young children. They will immediately be excited to have a familiar nursery rhyme with a twist. I recommend singing it through instead of just reading it!
“Twinkle, twinkle way up high
Angels singing in the sky.
Shepherds hear the angel say,
Christ the Savior born today.”
I really appreciate that the illustrator was careful to depict things much more accurately than many Christmas books. The Wise Men are shown traveling to Christ, but not there the night He was born. Mary is also depicted holding baby Jesus (who is shown) in a stone structure connected to a house. Well done!
