Summary
This rhyming picture book uses James 1:2-4 as inspiration to help children understand that even when hard things happen, God has not forgotten us. In fact, God is using those hard things to help us to be more like Christ. Probably best suited for children seven and under.
Mom Thoughts
Melissa Kruger successfully writes another sweet rhyming title that’s enjoyable to read with young children. The heart behind this title is one that can be very challenging for children to grasp, which is what makes it all the more helpful.
“His plan’s always good,
Even when we can’t see.
He’s crafting and shaping
So Christlike we’ll be.
So count it all joy,
Whatever you do,
Count it all Joy–
God’s working in you!”
I also am a big fan of the illustrations. The attention to detail is so refreshing, and the style is simply charming. Overall, this sweet tile would make a wonderful addition to your home or church library!
