I am huge fans of both Tim Challies and Rommel Ruiz, so when I heard they had joined forces for a new picture book series, I had to read them. Thankfully, they did not disappoint!

Challies retells these familiar biographies with simple, engaging ease. He almost made me choke up multiple times (which says a lot for me). He will beautifully guide your children through the lives of these faithful believers while planting a seed of desire to reach the lost. There was one page in the David Livingsonte title that was slightly confusing, but otherwise, they are written simply and understandably even for young children.

It was so interesting to see Ruiz’s illustration style pointed a bit more toward realism, and I am loving it. His depictions of Tyndale in prison are breathtaking.

An added bonus of this series is that when you purchase it, it supports missionary.com which is a solid organization that educates local churches about following the Great Commission.

I am thrilled they produced this series, and I highly recommend it!
