Mom Thoughts
I was unsure what to expect when reading this book, but it was engaging and hilarious! It offered preliminary information to be able to know what one believes and defend it based on objective evidence and truth. The book itself is written by Christian authors, and those viewpoints shine through on the pages. The Bible is cited to show how God endowed humans with wisdom and how we can be wise in situations when expressing beliefs. Each chapter ends with exercises, and the back of the book contains an answer key. This would be perfect to walk alongside a budding teen as he or she learns how to express his or her faith in logical verbiage. I did think adding the scientific method section was a bit random, but I can see how it goes along with reasoning and evidence. Overall, it would be a great learning source for kids (and probably many adults)!
