Summary
A simple picture book that explains what the promise of the rainbow means. Aimed at children ages 4-6.
Mom Thoughts
This short and sweet book does exactly what it sets out to do: help children understand that while the rainbow is often used in many different ways (it does not specify in exactly what ways) it belongs to God, so He gets to decide what it means.
“Yes, God made the rainbow, and God called the rainbow, ‘My bow.’ This means the rainbow belongs to Him. It’s God’s rainbow.”
The illustrations are lovely watercolors and while I don’t see an illustrator listed, I do not believe they are AI because other books on this website say, “hand painted watercolor illustrations.” If you are looking for a simple but effective book on the Biblical truth of the rainbow for young children, this is a great choice!
