Summary

Mostly written in rhyme, this allegorical-like story tells of the Hero (Christ) who saves the people from the Dragon (Satan) while also teaching about the Armor of God.

Mom Thoughts

I love a good allegorical-esque children’s story and this one is no exception. Not only is there a gospel presentation, but children are introduced to the Armor of God. Worley packs a fair amount of theology in this little book, and I’m here for it. The tension of “already but not yet” is held well, the sending of the Holy Spirit, each element of the Armor of God, and more are included.

“The beast without fangs will still prowl round your homes,”
So the Hero described how to love while it roamed:
“Share new of My triumph with friend and with for.
Be brave! You can trust in My strength as you go.”

The only word that some might take issue with is when the Hero is “plunged down the deep depths of hell.” Overall, this is would be a wonderful addition to your home or church library.
