While there is no shortage of picture books on Holy Week, Matthew Boswell brings his talent for text and beautifully weaves a Holy Week poem filled with teaching and truth. The illustrations lean more realistic (which I prefer) with color used very intentionally throughout. (Christ is depicted.) If you’d like a simple, beautiful, biblical book that is a joy to read again and again, That Holy Week So Long Ago fits the bill.
