Summary

This simple picture moves through the alphabet with one letter on each page and a sentence that uses that letter to describe Jesus and a corresponding Bible verse.

Letter B: “A baby promised long ago has been born in Bethlehem. (Micah 5:2; Matthew 2:1)”

Letter V: “He is victorious. Those who trust in him are victorious too. (1Corinthians 15:57)”

Mom Thoughts

With only a sentence or two on each page and simple felt cut out illustrations, this picture book is best suited for children 6 and under. There are no depictions of Christ, but there is one of angels. This might be a nice alternative to read during the Christmas season for your young children as it still tells major point of the Christmas story but also brings in other elements of Christ.

There is one sentence that I would say isn’t exactly right theologically, “Jesus came to this world for one reason, to die on the cross to save sinners,” but I don’t think that’s make or break for this book.
