Mom Thoughts

This beloved series presents simple, easy-to-follow biographies that help children learn about the lives of notable Christians. My oldest especially enjoyed how readable the books were and found it easy to stay engaged with the stories. I have not read (even close) to all the books in the series, so do know that this isn’t an exhaustive review, but rather a series recommendation based off of what I have read, with the caveat that each book is unique and will contain differing levels of violence, turmoil, hardships and more, depending on each person’s life. As this entire series is written by the same authors, you do get more of a feel for their flow across the series. Here is an excerpt from Eric Liddell:

“As he reached the end of the home straight, Eric threw himself forward across the finish line five meters ahead of Horatio Fitch! He took several more steps to slow down and then collapsed into the arms of the British coach. Eric sucked air into his lungs as fast and as hard of he could as he lay on his back on the track.”

Overall, I think this is a fantastic resource for families and churches.
